DIGITAL FLUORESCEIN ANGIOGRAPHY

Digital Fluorescein Angiography (DFA) is an ophthalmological procedure that permits that we could study many of the diseases that affect to the eye and to all the human body.

For example, in this angiographic image we could appreciate clearly a retinal disease; a neovascular membrane, that affects the foveal area, that of other way would be very dificult of diagnose it precisely.

Neovascular foveal membrane

This permits us to manage, ( in some instances ), through laser photocoagulation these alterations. Also it can be used to diagnose diabetic retinopathy, pigmentary epithelium abnormalities, choroidal injuries, macular edema, etc.

In this Web site I intend to show digital fluorescein angiography images of normal eyes and with various kind of ophthalmic diseases.
